Terms of Service

1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By accessing and using Ahlan, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. USE LICENSE

Permission is granted to use Ahlan for personal, non-commercial viewing only. You may not:

Modify, copy, or reverse engineer any materials
Use for commercial purposes without permission
Remove copyright or proprietary notations
Transfer or "mirror" materials on other servers
Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers
Create derivative works or competitive products

3. DISCLAIMER

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Ahlan disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Ahlan's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is less. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

5. ACCURACY OF MATERIALS

Ahlan does not warrant that materials are accurate, complete, or current. We may make changes without notice.

6. USER CONDUCT

You agree not to:

Transmit obscene, defamatory, or offensive content
Harass or cause distress to any person
Attempt unauthorized access to the Service
Engage in abuse, spam, phishing, or social engineering
Use the Service for illegal purposes
Violate any third-party intellectual property rights

7. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

You are responsible for:

Providing accurate, current, and complete information
Maintaining password confidentiality
Accepting responsibility for all activities under your account
Notifying us of unauthorized access immediately
Complying with all applicable laws and regulations

8. AGE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum age: 13 years old
Ages 13-17: Parental consent required
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13
Report child accounts to legal@ahlan.app

9. DATA SECURITY & DELETION

AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit
Multi-factor authentication available
Right to delete account and associated data
Account deleted within 30 days of request
Audit logs retained 1 year (legal requirement)

10. TERMINATION

Ahlan may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any reason whatsoever.

11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Ahlan is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of external sites. Use at your own risk and review their terms and privacy policies.

12. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ahlan from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or costs arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your violation of any law.

13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

30-day negotiation period before arbitration
Binding arbitration per AAA rules in San Francisco
Each party bears own costs and proportional arbitrator fees
Right to seek injunctive relief in court for irreparable harm

14. MODIFICATIONS

Ahlan may revise these Terms at any time without notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of California. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of California courts.

16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Ahlan's Maximum Liability:In no event shall Ahlan's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $500, whichever is less.

Ahlan is NOT liable for:

Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Lost profits, revenue, or business opportunities
Loss of data or corruption of files
Service interruptions or downtime
Third-party actions or content

17. CLASS ACTION WAIVER

NO CLASS ACTIONS: You agree that any dispute with Ahlan must be resolved on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, representative actions, or collective proceedings.

Each dispute shall be handled separately by individual arbitration. This means you cannot bring a claim on behalf of other users, and Ahlan cannot bring a collective claim against you.

18. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & ARBITRATION

By using Ahlan, you agree to:

Attempt good-faith informal resolution first
Submit formal complaints in writing
Binding arbitration if not resolved within 45 days
Arbitration governed by American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules
Arbitration in San Francisco, California

19. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

20. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and other referenced policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ahlan. Previous agreements are superseded.
