1. COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY

Ahlan is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are improving the accessibility of the Service on an ongoing basis and applying relevant accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

  • Keyboard focus visible on all interactive elements

  • ARIA labels and roles properly implemented
  • Semantic HTML structure throughout

Visual Accessibility

  • Color contrast ratio at least 4.5:1 for text
  • Resizable text (up to 200% without loss of function)
  • No information conveyed by color alone

Captions & Transcripts

  • Captions provided for video content
  • Transcripts available for audio content
  • Speaker identification in captions
  • Sound descriptions for important audio

Motor Accessibility

  • Large touch targets (minimum 44x44 pixels)
  • Voice control compatible
  • Adjustable timing for interactive elements
  • No motor requirement for critical functions

Cognitive Accessibility

  • Clear, simple language used
  • Consistent navigation and structure
  • Error prevention and recovery
  • Help and documentation readily available

3. WCAG 2.1 LEVEL AA COMPLIANCE

Ahlan aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across all core functionality:

  • Perceivable: Content is perceivable to all users
  • Operable: All functionality keyboard operable
  • Understandable: Content is clear and predictable
  • Robust: Compatible with assistive technologies

4. KNOWN ACCESSIBILITY LIMITATIONS

  • PDF Downloads: May not be fully accessible. Contact support for alternative formats.
  • Third-Party Content: Embedded content (YouTube, etc.) may have limited accessibility controls.
  • Real-Time Video: Live calls may have auto-captions (Google Live Transcribe) but not guaranteed accuracy.
  • Maps/Visualizations: Complex data visualizations may require text alternatives.

5. ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGIES SUPPORTED

  • Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack
  • Magnification: Windows Magnifier, browser zoom
  • Voice control: Windows Speech Recognition, macOS Voice Control
  • Dictation: Native OS dictation tools
  • Browser extensions: Most accessibility extensions compatible

  • Automated Testing: Weekly scans with Axe DevTools and Lighthouse
  • Manual Testing: Quarterly with assistive technologies
  • User Testing: Annual testing with people with disabilities
  • Third-Party Audit: Annual independent WCAG audit
  • Continuous Improvement: Accessibility issues fixed as discovered

7. ACCESSIBILITY ROADMAP
